Casual and sportswear is given a new nonchalant touch due to the desert and Orient topic dominating summer 2012. It seizes last winter’s rusticity, however banks on clearer lines and lighter materials. Instead of putting cards on stereotyped harem pants interpretations and tentlike tunics, the subject comes along modern with formfitting silhouettes and technical qualities. The qualities show up a wild mixture: cotton, linen, viscose and even silk blends are accompanied by coarse grained and loose knit structures. Flat woven fabrics, denims and jerseys are given a lived, authentic impression with faded looks and washes.
